It's a shame that the Ice Age megafauna in the Americas (saber-toothed cats, mammoths, ground sloths, etc.) took such a beating sometime after the first humans arrived. If they had held out longer, think how much American history (both pre- and post-Columbian) might have turned out differently!

An interview I just did with YouTuber KLA the Wanderer:
Is it just me, or am I particularly likely to come across fetish art when I search for recent artwork with the keyword "jungle"? I don't mean to kink-shame (and, of course, you all know that I do love my jungle girls), but it would be nice to see more illustrations of jungle scenes and less hypnosis/bondage/vore/etc. stuff.
I actually churned out a short book (word count 21K) based on my "Sinbad and the Lost Continent" premise. I'll be going over it with my revision team over the next few weeks!

Didn't I read somewhere that an asteroid explosion over North America coincided with the extinction of the mega fauna and may have been the cause?
Whatever the cause, I think most of the larger animals would be in a sorry state by this point anyway. Take a look at Africa for an example of how large species fare against humans over long periods of time.
